Always In The Mood For An “Awesome Caruso”

David-Caruso-SunglassesLets set the stage with this dialog from an actual CSI: Miami opening…

***Couple is getting a divorce and the wife turns up dead***

Det. Frank Tripp: No matter how you cut it, divorce sucks.

Horatio Caine (David Caruso – pictured left): Frank, it’s a killer.

Cue Intro Music!
(The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”)

Didn’t that just liven your day right up?? Makes me crack up every single time. Especially when you actually can hear the intro music kick in with the howling “Yeah” from Roger Daltrey. The Who have always been a favorite of mine, but in these circumstances, I have a hard time appreciating the song for its greatness. “Won’t Get Fooled Again” is a crucial part in this formula, but the key to an “Awesome Caruso” is the pause in Caruso’s delivery, putting the glasses on, and then putting the button on that scene. All I can do is gasp, try to catch my breath. and stop the side-stitch after laughing so hard.

For those who have not had the pleasure, I came prepared to share the “Awesome Caruso” love so everyone can enjoy… so without further ado, check out this montage of David Caruso doing what he does best.

David Caruso’s acting prowess has not been unnoticed by the likes of his Hollywood-kin. Check out Jim Carrey paying David Caruso one of the highest honors any actor could hope to receive – which is have have Jim Carrey do an impression of you.
