The Road To KISS

Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley front and center.

I got a message today from a good friend and fellow blogger reminding me to check his latest post about when “the rock chick” disappeared?

LOL!!!! It definitely was interesting, but more importantly it shined a glaring light on the fact I haven’t posted anything since my birthday in April. I decided that had to change immediately…. so here we are.

If you haven’t heard the super important news of the year yet, I’m about to inform you. KISS has unveiled their tour dates for the End Of The Road tour, which will be KISS’ last tour. So obviously I had interest in attending one of these shows immediately upon learning this information. And tickets for the show in Philly went on sale today….

I’m glad to report a large group including Christina and I will officially be attending! 😝 My adrenaline level since hearing the news has been crazy. I’ve been a fan of KISS for well over 20 years now. A band I have identified as my favorite for basically as long as I’ve been listening to music. If you snoop around this entire blog site you’re sure to find a bunch of content that is KISS related. The members, the music, KISS is just something that will be part of me forever.

I’m not really a tattoo guy but the thought of getting one has occurred to me a few times over the years. I’ve actually seriously brainstormed tattoo ideas maybe 5 or 6 times. Each of those sessions ended with me realizing the only thing I’d be comfortable with showcasing for the rest of my life if I were to go through with getting a tattoo would be something KISS related. Like I said, I’m serious about KISS.

So the countdown to March 29th, 2019 is active and rolling. And as the date creeps closer, hopefully the rumors circulating now will have more clarity. With those rumors being that original members of KISS may be in fact making select appearances throughout the tour. KISS Kruise is actually going on right now and Ace Frehley, Bruce Kulick, and Vinnie Vincent are actually aboard and a part of the KISS festivities. So things are looking up!

I can only hope we see a guest cameo once the KISS train rolls into Philly.

Updates and more KISS related posts to come on my road to KISS!! You’re welcome..

  1. As someone who lobbied his wife to name our son “Chongo” after the Detroit Rock City character, I know a thing or two about KISS. And the only tattoo truly worthy of Paul and Gene coolness would be a drawing of a boulder and the words “Rock Bottom”…on your ass. Only one legend could be cool enough for something that utterly legendary. 🙂
